Follow the journey of educator, Erin Marone, as she navigates a world full of books, social media and most importantly her path into leadership on this blog. Sharing and reflecting on her experiences and educational trends, Erin hopes to create a space where other educators can lead, learn, read and repeat-right along with her! 

 

Erin Marone is a certified school building and school district administrator who had the experience of being interim principal of Dayton Avenue School during the 2016-2017 school year. She is currently a Library Media Specialist and Lead Technology Teacher in the Eastport-South Manor School District on Long Island, NY. 

 

In addition, Erin was Suffolk’s School Library Media Association’s 2016 Library Media Specialist of the Year, is a Common Sense Education Ambassador and is a Certified Google for Education Trainer. Erin is also an adjunct lecturer at Stony Brook University where she teaches graduate courses on all things Google. 

 

When she isn’t teaching, she can usually be found on her laptop as she is the webmaster for the New York State Middle School Association's website. 

 

Erin enjoys listening to podcasts, tweeting and watching TedTalks. During her downtime, she spends time with her family and loves gardening, reading and paper crafting. (Oh, and don't forget warm,  right out of the oven--chocolate-chip cookies!)
